Wena! J.A.M.E. is a 90-minute journey through different styles of dance and music from the African continent or African Diaspora combined with various multi-media technology. Let’s say goodbye to so called “Worldmusic” and other stereotypes and clichés of Africa.

Freak de l’Afrique aims at deconstructing the predominantly romanticized, exoticized and unrealistic notions & images of "African music". Throughout this show we want to send out a clear statement that brings new sounds, visuals and movements from the African continent and its diaspora closer to the audience in Berlin.

The simultaneous interaction of music (DJ & MC by Freak de l’Afrique Sound Systems), visual arts (light effects & afro inspired 3D projections) and dance, offers a unique performance and appeals to all senses.
